New Year's Resolution Check In

March 2014-Today we are checking in with your New Year's Resolution.  Are you still going strong?  Are you losing steam?  Or have you completely quit?  Half of New Year's Resolutions have been given up by the end of January and 75% by March 1st.  Most of the resolutions that fail are attached to health, wellness and fitness.  In fact only 12% of Resolutions get resolve.  If this is you, do not despair.  I am here to help.  Most resolutions fail for the following reasons:

1. Not enough money to follow through.

2. Not enough motivation.

3. Not telling anyone about their resolution.

4. No accountability.

5. Not sure how to do it.

So why am I telling you all of this?  To give you reasons to quit?  No!  I am going to give you the answers that will keep you going and seeing success.

1. Not enough money.  If this is you let me tell you something: "80% of what you will spend on healthcare will be spent in the last 10 years of your life."  That is if you do not take care of your health now!  With that in mind it is important to find cheaper ways to workout.  Use a $20 a month gym, exercise while doing daily activity (squat in line at the bank, grocery store, waiting for the bus) and shop for whole, unprocessed foods.  Prepared, packaged foods are more expensive.

2. Not enough motivation.  Many people do not see immediate results and lose motivation.  Set small goals smash that goal and set a new one.  I tell my clients let's try for 2lbs a week and check in every two weeks.

3. Not telling anyone.  If you do not tell anyone, no one can support you and make you feel good about what you are doing.  A support system is the number one factor in success with weight loss.

4. No accountability.  You may have bought some dvd's or joined a gym but you never go and you never pop that dvd in and push play.  Hiring a fitness professional or health coach will keep you accountable, especially if you have access to them through social media.

5. Not sure how to do it.  There is so much confusion and disinformation it is hard to know what is the right way to reach your goals.  No one program or lifestyle works for everybody.  So again, finding a fitness professional or health coach can design a program that fits your needs, time, likes and dislikes.

If you are in need of help contact a Personal Trainer or Health Coach and get started on a goal setting session today.  For your convenience my info is provided below.  Best of luck!
